Are You Pregnant? You Can Still Dress Fashionable

When you find out you are pregnant, the most important thing you need to do is to see your obstetrician regularly, and take your prenatal vitamins. You also need to start looking at maternity clothes now before your baby bump starts growing. Shopping early gives you time to shop and find fashionable maternity clothes. Many people think just because they are pregnant they cannot dress fashionable, but this is not true.

Don't Go Bulky

Do not try to cover up your belly but instead flaunt it to the world. Instead of wearing clothes that are much bigger than you need, choose something like a snug fitting top, skinny jeans, and a blazer or button down shirt that is left unbuttoned. You could also wear a tunic with a pair of leggings.

Show Off Your Figure

If you were small breasted before your pregnancy, now is the time to flaunt them now that they are getting larger. Wear scoop necked sweaters and tops paired with a long necklace. Wear a button up shirt and do not button it up as high as you normally would.

Wear A-Line Dresses and Empire Waste Shirts

Empire waste shirts or A-line dresses work well for a woman that is pregnant. They flow away from your tummy, as there is a seam right below your bust. This gives you a lot of room to grow without it becoming too tight on you. These dresses and skirts will work well for you all the way to the end. If it is cold outside, wear a pair of opaque tights under the dress.

Wear a Belly Band

If you want to wear your designer jeans or other pants, you can by using a belly band. This is a stretchy piece of fabric that fits over your unzipped jeans or pants. It can turn any kind of pant you wear that zips up into a pair of maternity pants. Take your belly band with you to your next appointment with your obstetrics professional. He or she can check to make sure it fits you correctly and is not too restricting.

Make sure the clothes that you purchase make you feel very comfortable. You also should not wear heels during this time, and only wear flat shoes.   Just because you are pregnant does not mean you should not be concerned with the way you dress. You can have fun and find some great maternity clothes that you will be very comfortable in.
